Note on dedicated books
Book db01 marks the occasion of the bestowal of the honorary Dr.-Ing. degree on Wolfgang J. R. Hoefer by the Faculty of Engineering, the Technische Universität München (TUM), Germany, on 16 May 2007. The chapters of this book have been contributed by participants in the two-day symposium following the bestowal, organized by Prof. Peter Russer at TUM. Many of the authors are colleages and former students or research associates of Wolfgang J. R. Hoefer.
Book db02 marks fifty years of research in microwaves and computational electromagnetics by Wolfgang J. R. Hoefer and co-workers. The chapters of this book have been contributed by participants in a special session titled "Computational Electromagnetics – Retrospective and Outlook", organised by Drs. I. Ahmed and Z. Chen in honour of Wolfgang J. R. Hoefer at the 2012 Asia-Pacific Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (APEMC), Singapore, to celebrate his career of 50 years in electromagnetics research.
